Overview

Buckeye St. Lucia, purchased from Hess in December, 2013, is a valuable crude oil storage and transshipment facility located in the Southern Caribbean with close proximity to producing Latin American countries like Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil. St. Lucia offers ~9.3 million barrels of crude oil storage and an additional ~1 million barrels of refined products storage (mostly distillate fuels). One VLCC-capable dock can berth the world’s largest vessels, while an additional dock is available for smaller refined products vessels. With its breadth of capacity, St. Lucia is an attractive option for build or break-bulk operations for crude oil, as well as a staging location for regional refined products supply.
